Wednesday night, Rooster's features some of the best up and coming comedians in the Bay Area. You never know who will show up or is in town to hone their set. Ali Wong, Hasan Minhaj, Kevin Pollack, Christopher Titus, Bobby Slayton and Dana Carvey are just a few of the top comedians that honed their craft at a Rooster's Showcase nights. Come see the best and brightest new and up & coming comics in the Bay Area as they cut their teeth and sharpen their skills; There’s no telling which future star you might be able to brag about seeing “back in the day” at Roosters!
Maxx Eddy
Maxx is a stand-up comedian based in the Bay Area comedy scene. His act primarily focuses on the queer experience in San Francisco, living with his parents, and the foibles of his infamous stepdad, Dino Dan.
Maxx is a paid regular at many Bay Area comedy clubs, where he has opened for Tim Dillon and Hal Sparks. Maxx was also a featured performer at San Francisco Sketchfest and the Portland Queer Comedy Festival. Doug Stanhope once tweeted that Maxx was a “very funny kid,” and Maxx regularly opens for Doug on his California dates.
Jide Okonkwo
With an international background, Jide brings a worldly (and sometimes otherworldly) perspective to the stage. Although based in the Bay Area, Jide has performed on many stages around the world, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A lover of laughter and mangoes, his sweet tooth is the perfect foil for his sharp tongue. Catch him light up the stage with his smooth & cheeky style.
Shows are for 21 and over ONLY, with valid ID.

Doors open 30-60 minutes prior depending on show day and time.

Bag Policy / Restricted Items:
- Bags/Purses up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags that are not clear are subject to search.
- No Backpacks, Bota bags or Camelbacks
- No Outside Food or Drink Allowed – this includes water bottles
- No smoking or vaping allowed
- No personal recording equipment allowed and anyone caught recording the performances on their phones will be immediately ejected
