James P. Connolly is a stand-up comedian and radio/TV host known for his playful, confident style and quick wit. He attended Harvard University on a Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship. While serving in Desert Storm, he was ordered to write jokes for a Colonel. Arriving in Hollywood, he began to perform at LA's major comedy venues and soon popped up on television, commercials and in small films.
James has appeared on America’s Got Talent, Comedy Central, HBO, Netflix, Comics Unleashed, and can be heard daily on SiriusXM Comedy Channels. He hosted “Live From Here” for National Lampoon XM Radio, and has recorded a “Blue Collar Radio Comedy Concert” for SiriusXM.

I live in the Bay Area most of the time, professionally writing, telling, and drawing jokes. It's what I've been doing for a decade and a half, and I love it. I even wrote my master's thesis on the linguistic mechanisms that elicit laughter.
I've had the pleasure to write for countless organizations, including ABC, MSN, Starbucks, Frito-Lay, Hitachi, TED Talks, and AJ+, Onion Inc. I teach writing, comedy, performance, and more at Google. I was a staff writer at eBaum's World for about 4 years and head writer there for 3 years. I once gave a talk at the International Society for Humor Studies, gave comedy presentations in 10 countries, became a two-time finalist (one-time champion) in the National College Comedy Competition and performed in 10 consecutive SF Sketchfests.

Bag Policy / Restricted Items:
- Bags/Purses up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags that are not clear are subject to search.

- No personal recording equipment allowed and anyone caught recording the performances on their phones will be immediately ejected
