I hope this finds you well.

I am very happy to let you know that we are coming back to Sunnyvale for two shows at the greatest comedy club - Rooster T Feathers!

In keeping with the spooky season, I will be performing the famous Rakugo story Shinigami - The God of Death.

This story is a rare case of a traditional Rakugo story having its roots in Europe - the original tale goes back to the Brothers Grimm. And it was popularized most recently in Rakugo Anime Descending Stories.

I hope you can join my apprentices and me for a night of spooky storytelling - Japanese style.

Rakugo is traditional Japanese sit-down storytelling comedy — one performer on a cushion, bringing multiple characters to life through voice and timing. Sunshine is one of the only English-speaking masters of the art form and is now in his 7th year on Broadway in NYC, splitting his time between New York and Tokyo stages. This tour features Sunshine and his apprentices performing classic Rakugo stories that play beautifully in intimate rooms and draw both culture and comedy audiences.
