J. Chris Newberg
J Chris Newberg has built an alternative cult following with his acerbic wit and comedic songs. Chris writes jokes on game and television shows (The Chase, Beat Shazam, Crime Scene Kitchen 2, I Survived Bear Grylls, Facebook’s CONFETTI). He was the head writer and senior producer for 210 episodes of Idiotest, then 40 episodes of Emogenius, both on GSN. Chris has written / produced pilots for Jay Mohr, Iliza Schlesinger, Pete Holmes, Steve Byrne, Bob Saget, Deon Cole and Russell Peters.
Chris appeared on season 6 of America’s Got Talent. You’ve also seen him on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Comedy Central. Chris’s fourth comedy album "Live and Let Dye" spent 77 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Comedy top 10 (15 of those weeks at Number 1). Geneva Rust-Orta is a comic and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. She hosts a monthly variety show called Chatty Kathies that combines music, comedy, and talk show-style interviews, as well as a pop-up Queer comedy show called Beef Curtains. Originally from Oakland, she has performed on the lineup of SF Sketchfest, Santa Cruz Comedy Festival, and the Oakland Comedy Festival. Geneva took her half-hour show, “Messed Up” to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 and 2017. While in the UK, she competed in London’s Jewish Comedian of the Year competition and was named “Second Funniest Jew.” The daughter of four Jewish moms, Geneva has led a sheltered and happy life.
